The Art of Christiane Vleugels
Christiane Vleugels, like many artists, was truly ‘born’ to paint. She’s had the calling since childhood and eventually pursued a formal education in the Arts. As an adult, she had numerous gallery showings and spent a number of years painting commissioned works professionally. However, though she was honing her oil painting skills, she felt that she was enduring enormous pressure as well as losing her inner inspiration to create. Her artistic journey eventually came full circle and Christiane now thrives on painting her joy and what inspires her.
Christiane’s work leans toward portraiture, though she also spreads her creative wings into realms of fantasy and incorporates elements of surrealism with her mastery of life drawing. She composes thought provoking and highly creative works of fine art. She has a phenomenal mastery of oil paint as her chosen medium (though she does wonders with acrylics as well!) and has an equal mastery of human anatomy. She does utilize models and several of her subjects have been her lovely daughters. She has preserved moments in time as well as captured her love for them on her canvas. The photo realism is amazing. I’d LOVE to see her work in person!
Nearly all of her oil paintings are wall sized and taller than she is. The level of detail in her work is awe inspiring and her technical accuracy is enviable and artistically motivating. I am sincerely inspired by her remarkable talent and I am honored to display her work on bcr8tive.
This is a small sampling of her amazing collection of oil paintings.

Close Up of La Boheme by Christiane Vleugels.
The details of La Boheme are simply amazing. Can you imagine the focus and attention that she had to gift this painting in order to paint the crochet or the necklace?
A striking attention to detail, and a visual expression of the life in the Tigers Eyes.
Last but definitely not least, my personal favorite. The glowing muscle tone, the anatomical details, the perfection of the hands, and composition. A masterpiece.
