For the Georges Hobeika Spring 2016 Haute Collection, Georges designed an embroidered beading tribute to the way Nature regenerates and bursts through winter with new growth and life. His focus was on the expert level couture of embroidered beading that glitters with light in a variety of floral patterns, star burst shaped blooms, and lush gardens of vines and leaves. Evening wear dress shapes are silhouette focused or long and flowing. Cocktail dresses epitomize 50’s era styled femininity with ankle lengths full with layers of organza, and peppered with floral appliques, lace and delicately beaded gardens. The palette is a delicious blend of pastels; baby pinks, apricots and peaches, soft sage greens, lilacs and lavender, an array of sunlit whites, punched up with an icy winter, sun drenched sky blue. Accessories are floral too. Belts have a single flower for a buckle, cocktail rings burst with blooms, purses are patterned with 3-dimensional petals and lace up shoes are floral patterned. It’s all lovely!
