Fall is in the air and it’s time to add some warmth and spice to our homes in clever and creative ways! This year we can start decorating beginning at our door step with original door mats that personalize your entryway and make it uniquely YOU! For Fall 2016, textures are a big focus with soft sumptuous comfort, raised, dimensional and artistic or gleaming & eye catching. Faux furs are all the rage and no animals have to be hurt to emulate the luxury on a fur throw or pillow. A total PLUS in my book! Shiny, polished things add sparkle and glamour to our decor and this year it’s with metallic fabrics, objects of glass art like glittering glass and mirrored pumpkins or pretty glass acorns. Hand painted stemware lends personality to your tablescape as does pretty and festive dinnerware. Copper has been a decorating trend for a while now and it not only looks fantastic as pendants, lamps, furnishings and decor, but also on the table, with flatware, stemware, pitchers and goblets. The color is warm, though still neutral and we adore the shine! With so many great choices, it’s easy to incorporate a few new pieces into your current decor to capture the essence of Fall and bring it indoors.
