Ermanno Scervino Fall 2015

Ermanno Scervino had me at pencil skirt. His flair for joining sensual with conservative is unmatched. I’ve been a fan ever since. In this collection skirts aren’t a central focus but it’s still a day to night art project with true Ermanno Scervino panache. A great deal of this collection features exceptional dress for success designs that are perfect for career wardrobes. Designer coats are a strong fashion feature too; couture down jackets and chic winter dress coats are combined with striking thigh high boots. Artful houndstooth patterns in black and white, adorn very chic dresses and coordinating jackets that are occasionally enlivened with bits of primary colors. Other styles are textured with very unique quilted patterns. High contrast dominates this ensemble, though a few neutral designs peek in and are subtle but extremely alluring with rich textures and details. An electric blue is featured on several day wear and evening styles that are impossible to overlook as are the few designs that use dark red. Many of the day dressing moves effortlessly into night with visionary flair. The collection closes with gleaming evening styles, cocktail dresses and silhouette focused evening gowns created with lace and wrapped with unique, fabric sculpted textures. I’m a fan. Ermanno never disappoints.
