Chanel Fall Winter 2013-14 Haute Couture Collection

A rather futuristic cowgirl comes to mind, in boxy western styled hats with iconic Chanel tweed jackets and paired with mini skirts in metallic beaded mosaic patterns. Layers and lengths are a focus too. Attention is on a cinched waist with big maxi belts riding the hip. Platinum and gold rings are worn on all fingers. Thigh high boots are held up with traditional garters… (There’s an idea for an editorial!) Karl Lagerfeld said in his interview that heels do not look good with long gowns, so he designed these amazingly sexy and leggy boots that are paired with skirts and gowns in multiple lengths and they all look great. I’m sure there are some very happy feet too.
