Emilio Pucci Fall 2015
Peter Dundas, who has been at the helm of the Pucci brand for the last seven years, made his departure after this collection. His designs are energized with a spirit that focuses on a fit physique and flows along the natural curves of the body. Silhouettes are flattered with body skimming fabrics in high contrast black and white, solid colors or Peter Max type psychedelic patterns. The Emilio Pucci Fall 2015 Collection is inspired by rockers like Stevie Nicks and Led Zeppelin’s founder, Jimmy Page. Peter’s 70’s inspiration is evident in the illustrated and embroidered Zodiac symbols; the Suns and Moons and Stars. We see elements of an era of Woodstock rockers wearing velvet pants and ruffled crop tops, sheer and flowing skirts and ruffled blouses. I like the long fringe effects added to skirts, capes and boho bags. Many dress styles combine sheer fabrics with velvet, beads and sparkle in criss-cross, peek-a-boo patterns and the velvet chokers are a trip down memory lane. My favorites are the floor length jackets and breezy chiffon dresses. I also love the wrap up booties and the thigh high sequin boots.
