Armani Privé Haute Couture Fall Winter 2014-15 is rocking the reds like it’s Valentine’s Day with this collection. Combined with black and white, red is always so striking. This is a large Haute Couture ensemble. Designs begin with signature Armani tailored styling and graduate to the less predictable, the whimsical and more artistic designs. Soft curvy lines combine with asymmetrical geometrics; shapes, lines, patterns and 3 dimensional accoutrements. They are combined with deep textures and inventive layer details. Tulle is whipped like cotton candy, layered and web-like and covered in pom poms or polka dots. Ruffles are covered in tulle and bright red confetti. The circles appear everywhere. There are pearl textures on dresses and circular beads on shoes and bags. I love the veils. They vary in intensity and lend an air of fun and mystery to the designs. Armani Privé Couture is always grand but ultimately sensible.
