Les Copains Fall Winter 2014
Les Copains Fall Winter 2014 Collection is a grand buffet of thick yet cozy knits, in angora, mohair and cashmere. Painterly, peek-a-boo, or a metallic knit turtleneck, are all versatile additions to a Winter wardrobe. They’re all also a bold statement that marks the return of Graeme Black, who has a special flair for knits. Graeme was the former creative consultant for Ferragamo, and left the fashion curcuit in 2007. The collection features oversized dresses that though they seem padded with cushy weight, exude a lot of cozy, touch-me, winter sexiness. Details are creative; shards of mirrors, embroidered appliques, beading, and laser cut layers, all combined with a butterfly theme that lights its way into yet another designers collection. (I keep finding my way to the butterfly themes, is it me?) I especially like the joining of the iridescent fabrics. It’s reminiscent of a fairy’s gossamer wings and pairs with the farfalla theme. I also like the models; they’re healthy & attractive and love the foiled fabrics & Radiant Orchid runway.
