Max Mara Spring 2014 – Be Creative

Max Mara Spring 2014 featured chic minimalist styles in solid colors for their Ready to Wear Collection showcased during New York Fashion Week. Though minimalism may seem simple, it can be quite complicated from a design perspective. There are no distracting patterns on fabrics or design elements to draw your attention. More focus is required on defining shapes and establishing clean lines. Ian Griffith designed many style combinations with pencil skirts and straight shapes in this collection (which I LOVE!) They’re conservative but oh so sexy. They’re slimming and also bring out a curvaceous shape. Coats, jackets, boxy tops and ponchos in various lengths and cuts, pull slimming designs together. Cropped pants are a fresh addition. Solid colors are super attractive and make your eyes look at the shapely woman wearing them.
