Wrapped in a Mystery

With much regret, the artist of this gorgeous fine art painting of a woman in a hijab is a mystery. I’m very attracted to this painting; it’s vibrancy, the transparencies and shadows, the mystery that it invokes. The execution of this painting is grand & I believe it to be oil. The subject matter is a sign of the times, drawing attention to a culture shrouded in controversy about Islamic women. I’ve sourced for days with no results for the original. I did find a ‘page not found’ on a foreign site, which I suspect was where it was originally posted. The image is all over the internet now and as many of you already know, I’m a lunatic about attribution and artist credit.
