Rami Kadi’s Spring 2013-14 Couture Collection, Les Jardins Suspendus, is French for, The Hanging Gardens. It reminds us of the new life and colorful blooms of spring. Soft, glowing colors dominate styles that are full with an abundance of wispy and romantic layers, decorative and creative pleating and intricately designed lace elements. Fashions incorporate shimmering, soutache styled hand embroidery, beading and sequins that grow and at times sparkle like fairy dust or create unique textures (like the gold tube beading that appears to be tufted!) I also love the floral appliques that are formed into unique, blossom styled design elements. Overall the collection has a Fairy Tale like quality that’s full of whimsy, fantasy & feminine elegance.
