Yiqing Yin Fall 2012 Paris Couture Collection
I love to watch a designers body of work grow. Yiqing Yin’s latest Fall Winter Couture 2012 Paris Collection is a creative garden of fabric, shapes and colors. Her work is elegant, feminine and so unique. Some of her pieces are loose and bohemian, but then she surprises you with striking elements of expert precision. She does simply amazing things with her fabric. Dresses that looks like petals literally grew out of them on their own, the well crafted knotty vines that at first are tightly woven then burst into a flowing & airy gown … pleats that are so small and refined they look like the inside of a fragile mushroom cap … they seem organic and I’m in awe. This collection is bolder, brighter and seems a little more daring. Is the wedding gown amazing? Conservative veil, shimmering sexy gown. Challenging herself is creativity at it’s best. Bravo!
