Osman Fall Winter 2013-14 Collection

A clean and minimalist collection designed with fluid and feminine shapes that are loose but shape forming, comfortable and relaxed. The palette is basic and neutral; deep blue, grays, black and an utterly feminine winter white (that is my favorite). Some styles are illuminated with shine and texture. A beautiful gold brocade adorns some of the winter white on dresses, a pencil skirt, a cropped jacket. Metallic textured fabrics on grays and neutrals, add a subtle glow to styles. Dresses are adorned in asymmetrical ruffles. The overall look is one of simplicity and ease. My favorite dress is the knitted knee-length in winter white, with shaggy rows of looped threads and ultra long sleeves. I’d like to see it worn with the super cute ankle booty with silver tipped toes. (Love those too!)

My critique? I’d like to see more designers demonstrate how they envision their see through fashions in a real life setting, since most women aren’t going out in a sheer top without a bra or undergarment. I’d also prefer that the rabbit fur stay on the cute little white rabbits. Come on designers, don’t follow the cruel fur trend, get creative, show us your ingenuity, use a faux fur if it HAS to be part of the collection. Those styles aren’t included here, these are my favorites.
