John Galliano Fall 2014

John Galliano Fall 2014 is a very attractive collection that includes all of the creativity and talent Galliano infuses into everything that he creates, but features designs that are a bit less theatrical and a lot more practical. Controversy aside, he is an undeniable talent and though many were let down by his fall from grace, I think it speaks a lot about his character, that he is also doesn’t give up. I don’t believe that he should. He is far too talented and it would be a great waste for him NOT to work. I’m crazy about this collection. It’s full of warmth in colors and soft, touchable textures. His velvets are artistic and painterly and he pairs them with engaging knits. Iridescent graphic design patterns illuminate styles in silk jacquard. Crystals are a design element that line the forms on a coat dress, gowns and a bell sleeved sweater. High-waisted trousers are making their way back and Galliano’s are indelibly classic. He combines them with corset style sweetheart tops, long arm gloves, cropped jackets and the most amazing platform booties!
