Gareth Pugh Spring 2014

When a Gareth Pugh design steps out on to the runway, there is no denying that this is one designer that isn’t playing to a crowd. His enormous creativity stands out as one who beats to his own drum. Gareth Pugh’s avant garde designs from the Spring 2014 Paris Fashion Week Collection featured fashions in soft whites, grays, aqua, black and luminescent moonlight. Gareth focuses on an elongated silhouette, placing dramatic emphasis on a waist, a collar, shoulders and even the head. Plastic is incorporated and creates a light attracting, super wet texture. My favorites are his long, slimming maxi skirts and the iridescent arm length gloves.
