It’s time to start thinking about creative Fall decorating ideas and Thanksgiving.

Our fashion choices change with the seasons and our homes are an extension of our personal styles too. We can keep it fresh and add some spice and flavor to our home decor and also our menus. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. My personal tastes lean towards warm colors in the home, so this is a great time to shop for home decorating items in those colors.

Don’t forget holiday scents. Burning great candles in spicy scents makes being home a cozy get-away. Cozy up with a warm blanket, a comfy pillow,  a hot drink and a good book.

Speaking of hot drinks, Autumn brings back all of our traditional recipes. I’m looking forward to my favorite glazed ham recipe and the smell of cloves all through the house; Zucchini Bread or fresh Banana Bread or warming up with a hot Mulled Wine and Cider. Mmmm

I found most of these fun Fall buys on Pier 1. Does anyone not love Pier 1? The glitter pumpkins are so cute (and look like a clever DIY project.) The twig pumpkin is very creative too. Obviously I like everything posted here (and I could keep going) – Crazy about the beaded pillow, love the spicy red dinnerware and flatware, the recycled glass and the Tealight owl.
