Luisa Beccaria Spring 2014

The Luisa Beccaria Spring 2014 collection demonstrates a constant design aesthetic for the ultra feminine, rich with Italian romance and practical allure. Some say their designs aren’t trendy enough, but trendy isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and trendy doesn’t last very long in your wardrobe. Many still like the girly-girl feeling and Luisa Beccaria designs are quite feminine. Fabrics are silky, sheer, light and airy. A lot of attention and creativity is placed on the design of the lace and macrame. My personal favorite is the deep blue lace dress and the hot pink lace vest. I also like the sheer aqua dress cover up and the aqua pencil skirt with cropped top too. The deep-V neck, ruffled maxi begs to be worn on a romantic southern date. The designs are silhouette focused, at times suggestive but always lady-like. I picture them on Sophia Loren or Jackie-O types, each would imbue their own personal style and wear the hell out of them
